I have had these chairs for a year and 9 months. The metal frame is great, durable and easy to clean. The black wood seats are not holding up at all. From the time of delivery the black Wood seats were damaged and replaced but the remaining seats have been chipping on the edges too, the top layer peals off in strips, customers with embellished rear pockets mar the surface of the seat. They scratch easily. I would not recommend the black seats at all. The natural wood seats on the matching bar stools I purchased for a few years ago have held up well.

I bought these chairs around a year ago and am now leaving a review. After a year, they still look and function great! They are as sturdy as the day I bought them. I bought them with seats unattached and found it very simple to attach the seats. Great product at a great price. Over the years, I've ordered several different things from the Webstaurant Store and in my experience, their customer service is second to none. I usually don't leave reviews and hadn't planned to in this case either until I came back here looking to order some more chairs and read the one star review left by that other fellow. While he is correct, the seats do not come predrilled, I don't see how that merits a 1 star review. Predrilling isn't a requirement- just line the seat up with the chair frame and screw it down. I am a Webstaurant Store repeat customer and will continue to be, even without predrilling.

Frame to chair is really durable, however, wood seats have become extremely chipped on the edges through normal use. I've had the chairs at my restaurant for just over a year and they looked really bad.

I ordered this unassembled, assuming, as with all other products that I have purchased from online retailers, that there would be drill holes in the seat. No such luck. Though the customer service agent indicated that she found an FAQ section that states that there are no drill holes, I still can't find that statement on their website for this product. The bottom line is that that information is hidden, and it's well worth paying the extra money to not have to drill holes. The only thing the agent did was offer to send me directions for installation, which I don't need since they are very basic. I really wish I had purchased the same item from a furniture site. They treat their customers very differently.

very well built chair for its use. Feels very sturdy and solid when sitting on it and im 250 lbs LOL. Casters are nice for easy floor gliding and they aren't too heavy but dont feel cheap. I would definitely buy again.
